Fridge magnet experiment

I saw these little fake roses at Walmart the other day on sale for 50 cents, so I bought them and a package of little magnets thinking they might make cute refrigerator magnets a little like some I saw in the lovely book, The French Inspired Home with French General. I had to cut off the green rubbery bud part and take the first petal off to glue onto the magnet upside down, so it would kind of fold down over the magnet to cover it up. Then, I glued the next petal on right side up and so on. Okay yes, the flowers are kind of cheap and cheesy looking, but for 50 cents not so bad, maybe? I think I'll look for some better flowers and other little trinkets to use in this endeavor when I go to First Monday in Canton this weekend. I have to say, I'm so looking forward to going -- haven't been in over a year. Once in the fall and again in the spring, some girlfriends set up their RV's on the First Monday grounds and have what has come to be known as 'Chick Camp'. Some spend the nights (Wed. through Sat.) and others of us just come and go; it's much fun. I shall send pics and reports asap.
More later. . . .
P.S. I got those little magnetic letters at Hobby Lobby the other day. They didn't have a great selection, but I like them, don't you?
