Garage Sale Finds

I love going to garage sales, but I really don't like having a garage sale. In spite of that, I had one this past weekend. We had an attic and garage full of stuff that needed to find new homes, plus the entire neighborhood was sponsoring a community garage sale, so I jumped (crawled?) on the bandwagon. Thanks to all the shoppers and Goodwill, we got rid of everything -- I'm so happy to say. Of course, the evening before the sale some of us trolled the neighborhood checking out everyone else's sales, so I traded and bought a couple of things. I found 8 sterling teaspoons, a Beatrix Potter biscuit tin, a great basket (for yarn), and some French bistro glasses -- about 20 of them. I only kept these 6 for wine, the rest are going to my daughter. I love these for wine -- they're sturdy and dishwasher safe. I already had a few which I bought at William Sonoma a few years ago, so I was pleased to add to them.

No picture of the spoons as I haven't polished them yet, but here's the basket and cookie tin which my good friend Judy was kind enough to give me. Thanks Judy!
