Have you seen "Lark Rise to Candleford"?

I've been waiting forever to see the BBC adaptation of Flora Thompson's "Lark Rise to Candleford", and I finally got the first dvd from Netflix yesterday.  I love it!  If you're looking for something to watch as you cozy up with your cocoa (or hot rum & cider ;-) and knitting, I highly recommend this charming series.

P.S. "Keep Calm & Cast On" poster in sidebar generously offered by Laylock and can be found here.  I've had the "Keep Calm & Carry On" poster hanging in my house for a while now, and it's surprising how much just looking at those words (that encouraged people in WWII London subways/tube stations) can give me a little boost.  I loved my DD's idea of putting it her sidebar, so I'm copying her idea here with a bit of a twist.  She's much more creative than I am!

Thank you! I just put the netflix package on the mailbox, and judging by the barking dogs, he's picking it up about now. ;-)

I'll head straight over there, and put this on the top of my queu!

Well that does it, I have to get Netflix now. I love period pieces. I saw the first 30 minute episode and then plum forgot to turn the tv on the next week and missed all the rest of the show. So if I can get a season on DVD that would be great! Catherine over at My Sewing Serenity is always getting good period movies from Netflix too, so I think I am sold.

Oh yes, I'll order it. I just finished Cranford 1 and 2. My girls made fun of me but I adored it and now you've given me another goody to look forward to! I like everything you like! You're a good film critic!

This does look good and cozying up with some cocoa sounds wonderful. Alas, it's off to work I go but not before I add that to my netflix list!
