This Morning . . . .

I went for a walk (we are having the most wonderfully perfect spring weather at the moment), and I found a Blue Jay feather and some pretty mossy thing.

And watered the plants on the back porch.  The lettuce has really taken off.  I guess I should have a salad for dinner tonight, shouldn't I?  But really, I think I'm going to have the left over strawberry shortcake ^v^.  What?  Diet?  Huh?

Then, I cleaned out a closet, well, a closet and a half I guess.  I finished mine (quel happiness!), but the one in the office still in progress.

See, a clean and color coded closet!  I am so full of myself ^v^.

I took these quilts out of the office closet to make more room, but now I don't know where to put them.  I love quilts, but maybe I have too many?  Hmmmm, no, don't think so.  We need quilts (at least 2 or 3) for picnics, making palettes on the floor for littles, keeping warm on cold winter nights (obviously), but maybe just for the sake of prettiness and admiration too.  You think?

The one in the middle, I bought at an estate sale last week for $10.  I guess some people just don't care for quilts?  I didn't know that was possible.

Okay then, back to finish my chores.

Happy week to you!

I'm having strawberry shortcake today, too:) Love your quilts -- don't get rid of them! -- and love your lettuces in the galvanized tub.

I like the findings from your walk. I'm always picking up feathers. Blue is so amazing to see, isn't it? That bucket o' greens looks very delish, but strawberry shortcake sounds extra delish. I vote that you keep those quilts right there on that chair. They are so pretty displayed there, and it makes one think she could grab a quilt anytime and cuddle up.

Nice photos, Gigi! I can't imagine who'd get rid of that lovely red, white and blue star quilt - but it was meant for someone who'd appreciate it.

I'm going to do some container gardening this season - is there a drainage hole in your metal container?

I'm glad you are having mild spring weather. Bluejays are such dazzlers! Love that feather!
Oh, and YES to quilts!

Glad you brought the quilt home - I just know it's going to be well loved at your place.

I agree with a previous comment - the pile of beautiful quilts is a design statement, stick with it.

The weather has been beyond lovely, hasn't it? I'm soaking it up.

Lovely nature finds and the lettuce looks yum! What a great find on the quilt!!! I can't imagine what people are thinking to get rid of such things, but I'm glad you were blessed by it!

I love the little peeks into your life. I'd love to have a quilt collection - so many uses. I thought I was making one but there's never enough time. Love
your knitting too.

Could you not have salad and shortcake? As my sister say "A bit of health, and a bit of fun."

Lovely quilts - I spotted one at an antiques barn yesterday, £65 with bang up to date colours and patterns. I have nowhere to store them, otherwise it would have been mine!
